Ross Key Makes Move To Nashville

Jul 17, 2011 | Share

Lynchburg, VA: Ross Key, a native of Lynchburg, Virginia, will be taking his musical talents to Nashville, Tennessee in July. The permanent move to Nashville to further his country music career became necessary after spending eight weeks there back in the Spring of this year.

Key will be recording a song written specifically for him by CMA Hall of Fame songwriter, Roy August. August wrote "Sittin' Fancy Free" for the Oak Ridge Boys and the song and band were both recently honored by CMA in June of this year.

August commented on Key recently, having heard Key perform live in Lebanon, Tennessee, stating "...you're an awesome entertainer. A star ready to happen." August wrote the song and handed it to Key one evening in late May before Key had to return to Virginia.
