Lynchburg, VA, August 16, 2010: - During the one hour “Beyond Country” live radio show on WDHC 92.9 FM - located in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia - the studio phone lines never stopped ringing once Ross Key performed his first song on his six-string acoustic guitar on the air, an instrumental titled Under the Double Eagle. The show’s host, Disc Jockey “The Doctor” - Ed Asher - interviewed the professional singer/songwriter and master musician, Ross Key of Ross Key Country, a native of Lynchburg, Virginia. Fielding as many of the calls as possible during the hour-long show, Asher stated, “I have never had such an overwhelming response during any show.”

Key and his personal manager, Brenda Porter, had expected to give away two CDs during the interview, but ended up contributing a total of four due to the number of calls received. Asher has asked Key to return in the future for another interview.

Ross Key also performed two of his original songs during the show. Saturday Night, which currently holds the number one spot on ReverbNation’s local country music chart for Lynchburg, Virginia and has held the position since January 2010. He also sang his upcoming release titled Little Bungalow. It has fluctuated on NumberOneMusic, a global chart, hitting number one there and recently had three of the band's songs in the Top Ten.

During the interview, Asher asked Key where he would like to perform that he hasn’t yet. Ross immediately replied, “The Grand Ole Opry.” Key stated he sold his first song, The Prodigal Son, through ASCAP without retaining any rights back in the mid-80s. The Statler Brothers recorded the song and was later performed on the Grand Ole Opry by Larry Gaitlin.

Prior to the show, Asher said he would talk to the station’s Program Director in regards to putting Key’s song, Saturday Night, into regular rotation. By the end of the show, Asher told Key the song would be put into rotation immediately and would play again within the hour.

“I never expected the response I received from WDHC 92.9 FM listeners,” Key said. “I thought we’d be doing good to give away two of my CDs. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the people of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia and those who listened in throughout the coverage area.”
