After an hour of attempting to rectify the problem, it became evident that we would not be able to broadcast as we had planned. The owners rebooted their server and even sat down at our laptop trying to connect. Nothing worked. Everyone was disappointed. We will attempt to live stream future shows.

Ross Key Country will soon release new single, "Resurrect Music Row"

NASHVILLE, TN, OCTOBER 5, 2011: Ross Key will release a new single CD with his much acclaimed song, Resurrect Music Row. Co-written with his wife, Brenda, Key composed and rewrote the song numerous times.

"It took just over a year to get it the way I wanted it to be," Key stated. "The song had been intended for my 2010 Resurrecting Music Row tour. I just couldn't get the song to have the impact that I knew it needed. This year, after traveling to Nashville for an exposure tour, it came together when I walked down 16th Avenue in the heart of Music Row."

Key and his wife have also collaborated on a gospel song titled Lift Me Up, Dear Lord. It, too, is receiving a favorable response from crowds. Key intends to release a full country CD in the next few months, followed by a gospel album.

The songs are available to listen to on his site at www.reverbnation.com/rosskey.

PRESS RELEASE: 09/19/2011

ROSS KEY COUNTRY SELECTED TO HEADLINE BENEFIT CONCERT IN NASHVILLE

NASHVILLE,TN, SEPTEMBER 18, 2011: Ross Key Country will headline the KID Benefit Concert (Kids In Danger) along with several local musicians and bands in Nashville, Tennessee sponsored by the Musicians In Action Guild Showcase of Nashville. The concert is scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2011 at 8:00pm in the Celebrity Centre located at 1130 8th Avenue, S., Nashville, across from the W.O. Smith Music School.

Proceeds will benefit the Citizens Commission for Human Rights - Nashville, an international organization that polices the psychiatric community's actions. Tickets are being sold in advance at www.cchrnashville.org. There is limited seating, so early purchase of tickets is encouraged. VIP seating also includes special parking for the event.

The concert is being held to promote awareness of the intensifying misdiagnosis of millions of healthy children with mental disabilities such as ADHD, and the rampant dispensing of controlled drugs, such as Ritalin, to subdue normal childhood energy. With governments around the world - including the FDA in the United States - warning against the use of depressants in children under the age of 18, the psychiatric world is failing to heed the warnings and police themselves. These drugs can cause physical and psychological problems in normal, healthy children...even death. Reports compiled showed a marked increase in mental depression, uncharacteristic violent outbursts, suicide rates, and deaths among school-aged children who have no voice in their prescribed therapy. Video presentations concerning the dangers of this epidemic will be shown before, during, and after the concert, with selected testimony from Nashville parents and adults who have themselves been prescribed Class 2 drugs for ADHD and other bogus mental ills.

We’ve just added this week three more acts to the concert line up and to-date, performances include Ross Key, Andy Mabe, Karla Davis, Deborah Bishop, Don Hillaker, Garry Jackson, Arti Portilla, Woody Sunshine, CJ Greco, Ronnie Dean Messenger, Jonathan New, Carol Strickland, Julie Wayz & Amy K., Tyler Warren, Rick Bowers Band, and the Sal Rinella Band.

Ross Key Country Performance This Weekend

Aug 17, 2011 | Share

PRESS RELEASE
Nashville, TN, August 17, 2011: Ross Key (aka: Ross Key Country) will make his return debut to Nashville this weekend on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 6:00pm at Belcourt Taps & Tapas located at 2117 Belcourt Avenue, Nashville.

Key is a traditional country music performer, and a multi-talented musician. He's written about two dozen songs, but says he doesn't classify himself as a songwriter, although he sold a gospel song back in 1985 through ASCAP with the help of a friend. He says he has learned a lot about music since then when he didn't know he should have retained his rights to the song. "I still have the original sheet that I wrote the song on locked in a fireproof security box."

Key moved to Nashville permanently back in July to further his music career after spending eight weeks in the Music City earlier this year.

"I hadn't planned to move to Nashville permanently anytime soon until that visit, where I met many in the music industry," Key stated. "It was to be an introduction, of sorts. Me to Nashville and Nashville to me. The response I got was mind-boggling. I met a lot of people who have become friends and mentors. I met Roy August one night who is the famed songwriter of "Sitting Fancy Free" that was recorded by the Oak Ridge Boys. They, along with the song, were recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. That song is the most played song on radio today. Roy has written a song specifically for me, handing it to me one night at a show taping we both attended. I was stunned."

Key has become a recognized name in the area, and his song - Saturday Night - has rapidly climbed the Nashville country music chart on ReverbNation.com.

"It started out three weeks ago on that chart somewhere in the 4,600-plus rankings. At last check, it was still climbing and is now holding the #340 position," Key said, shaking his head and smiling. "It's hard to believe even though I've already been contacted by A&R groups through that website."

You can find Ross Key on the internet by Googling his name. To listen to his music or for more information, visit www.reverbnation.com/rosskey.

Ross Key Makes Move To Nashville

Jul 17, 2011 | Share

Lynchburg, VA: Ross Key, a native of Lynchburg, Virginia, will be taking his musical talents to Nashville, Tennessee in July. The permanent move to Nashville to further his country music career became necessary after spending eight weeks there back in the Spring of this year.

Key will be recording a song written specifically for him by CMA Hall of Fame songwriter, Roy August. August wrote "Sittin' Fancy Free" for the Oak Ridge Boys and the song and band were both recently honored by CMA in June of this year.

August commented on Key recently, having heard Key perform live in Lebanon, Tennessee, stating "...you're an awesome entertainer. A star ready to happen." August wrote the song and handed it to Key one evening in late May before Key had to return to Virginia.

ABOUT ROSS KEY COUNTRY

Ross Key Country performs traditional country, Americana, and gospel music. He began playing guitar at 13 years of age when his brother gave him a guitar and a Willie Nelson album, The Redheaded Stranger, for Christmas. Self-taught, Key learned every song on the album.

He traveled professionally with Roy Campbell and the Nashville Sound—a country music band based in Lynchburg, Virginia—at the age of 16. He has fronted for Willie Nelson, Alabama, Hank Williams, Jr., Ronnie Milsap, Emmylou Harris, Freddy Fender, and many more. Key also sat in on stage with Willie Nelson. He later moved from country music into the professional bluegrass circuit performing with Lower 40 Grass. He switched over to the professional gospel circuit for 15 years, and traveled with the Vessels of God.

He left his professional career to raise a family in Campbell County, Virginia in the early 90s. Earning his degree in Drafting and Architectural Science at the University of Virginia, Key became one of Lynchburg's most sought after master carpenters. In early 2009, his current personal manager, Brenda Porter, heard him performing in a private setting. That meeting marked Ross Key’s return to the one true love of his life, the professional country music circuit. For more information and booking, visit www.reverbnation.com/rosskeycountry.
