PRESS RELEASE
Nashville, TN, August 17, 2011: Ross Key (aka: Ross Key Country) will make his return debut to Nashville this weekend on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 6:00pm at Belcourt Taps & Tapas located at 2117 Belcourt Avenue, Nashville.

Key is a traditional country music performer, and a multi-talented musician. He's written about two dozen songs, but says he doesn't classify himself as a songwriter, although he sold a gospel song back in 1985 through ASCAP with the help of a friend. He says he has learned a lot about music since then when he didn't know he should have retained his rights to the song. "I still have the original sheet that I wrote the song on locked in a fireproof security box."

Key moved to Nashville permanently back in July to further his music career after spending eight weeks in the Music City earlier this year.

"I hadn't planned to move to Nashville permanently anytime soon until that visit, where I met many in the music industry," Key stated. "It was to be an introduction, of sorts. Me to Nashville and Nashville to me. The response I got was mind-boggling. I met a lot of people who have become friends and mentors. I met Roy August one night who is the famed songwriter of "Sitting Fancy Free" that was recorded by the Oak Ridge Boys. They, along with the song, were recently inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. That song is the most played song on radio today. Roy has written a song specifically for me, handing it to me one night at a show taping we both attended. I was stunned."

Key has become a recognized name in the area, and his song - Saturday Night - has rapidly climbed the Nashville country music chart on ReverbNation.com.

"It started out three weeks ago on that chart somewhere in the 4,600-plus rankings. At last check, it was still climbing and is now holding the #340 position," Key said, shaking his head and smiling. "It's hard to believe even though I've already been contacted by A&R groups through that website."
